The Return Of The Legion Of Boom: Seattle Steamrolls Pats In Super Bowl LX!
9 Feb, 2026
- 🛡️Defensive masterclass: Seattle held New England scoreless for three quarters, reviving a new era of the Legion of Boom.
- 🏃Walker runs the show: Kenneth Walker III piled up 135 rushing yards and claimed Super Bowl MVP honors.
- 💰Smart spots cashed: The Under 45.5, Seahawks ML, and Kenneth Walker III rushing over all came through in a dominant Seattle win.
If you are a fan of defense, Super Bowl LX was perhaps one of the most dominant showings of any defense in the history of the NFL, as the Seattle Seahawks mauled the New England Patriots on their way to a 29:13 win, revenge, and their second Lombardi Trophy!
As we reviewed in the pre-game analysis, Seattle and New England faced off at Super Bowl 49, with the Patriots coming away victorious thanks to one fateful play. This time, the Hawks left absolutely nothing up to chance, and even held the Patriots scoreless for the first three quarters, which is absolutely ridiculous when you take into account that these are supposed to be the two best teams in the entire league.

Drake Maye, Tom Brady’s successor at the QB position in NE, had himself a nightmare of a game, giving away two interceptions and two fumbles (one of which was returned for a TD), but he got almost no help from his offensive line, so cannot be solely to blame.

On the winning side of things, it’s hard to pinpoint who stood out the most. Kicker Jason Myers got the NFL record for most field goals with 5, while Kenneth Walker III “stole” the MVP from him and quarterback Sam Darnold with an imposing 135 rushing yards which kept the offense humming along and Myers kicking from comfortable distances.
The score was 19:0 at the end of the third, and the Hawks never looked back, even though Maye managed to redeem himself somewhat with 2 garbage-time touchdowns. He is New England’s brightest hope for a better future, but there will be a lot of retooling needed around him if they are to become the sole owner of the most Super Bowls in history next year (currently tied with Steelers at 6).
All in all, it seems like Seattle has built another “Legion of Boom”, one which has avenged the loss from 11 years ago and proven that they will be the team to beat for the foreseeable future in the NFL. But how did we get on in the prediction department?
Here are the plays that we made:
- Patriots +4.5: Lost
- Under 45.5: Won
- Seahawks Moneyline: Won
- Kenneth Walker III - 82.5+ Yds: Won
- Smith Njigba- 5.5+ Receptions: Lost
- Super Bowl 60 MVP - Sam Darnold: Lost
Going 3/6 isn’t too shabby when it comes to Super Bowl predictions, especially seeing as QB’s win the Super Bowl MVP more than 50% of the time historically (34/60 Super Bowl MVPs were QBs). Also, Smith Njigba had to be taken off to go through concussion protocol, shortening his time on the field and keeping him to only 4 receptions.
Stay tuned for more NFL action on Roshtein.com - next season is bound to be even more thrilling than this year’s chase for the Lombardi trophy!
